November 17, 2001 Devils Lose to Flyers 1-3
The New Jersey Devils lost to the Philadelphia Flyers
by a score of 1-3 at home on Saturday, November 17, 2001.
The first period of the game was scoreless as both
Martin Brodeur for New Jersey and Roman Cechmanek for Philadelphia
made some nice saves.
The first period ended in a 0-0 tie. The Devils
outshot the Flyers 9-6.
Hlavac scored for the Flyers at 7:24 of the second
period to give Philadelphia a 1-0 lead.
Bobby Holik scored for the Devils at 14:37 to tie the
game 1-1. Randy McKay and Jay Pandolfo got assists on the
goal.
The second period ended with the game tied 1-1.
Shots were 12 a piece in the period.
Just 41 seconds into the third period, Gagne scored for
the Flyers to give them a 2-1 lead. Fedotenko scored at 8:51
to make the lead 3-1.
The game ended with the Flyers winning by a score of
3-1. The Devils outshot the Flyers 34-25.
Pierre Dagenais and Tommy Albelin were healthy scratches
for the Devils.
