March 16, 2004 Rafalski Done For The Regular Season
The Associated Press is reporting that Devils defenseman Brian
Rafalski may miss the remaining 10 games of the regular season with a broken
leg. He has been out of the Devils lineup since re-injuring his leg in
the Devils 3-1 loss to the Flyers on March 9, 2004.
Rafalski initially injured his leg early in the third period of
the Devils 3-0 loss to the Maple Leafs on February 28. He missed the
following game, and even though some media speculated his leg was broken, he
returned to the Devils lineup on March 3. In that game, 5-2 Devils
victory over the Panthers, he logged over 20 minutes of ice-time, assisted on 3
goals, and was a +4.
