March 29, 2004 Lamoriello Statement Regarding Scott Stevens
Lou Lamoriello issued the following statement on Monday, March
29, 2004 regarding the status of Scott Stevens:
"Scott Stevens, who is suffering from post-concussion syndrome,
has been re-examined by Dr. Karen Johnston. Tests have determined that
Scott is not yet at 100 percent, and only when it is determined that he is at
100 percent, will he participate with the team. He will continue to work
out both on and off the ice. There is no timetable for his
return.
"Since being diagnosed in early January, the New Jersey Devils
have been in communication with Dr. Johnston and Scott Stevens on a regular
basis. We are in full support of Dr. Johnston's care of Scott
Stevens."
