Devs Pick Up Lukowich & Wiemer, Send Brown to Vancouver

    The New Jersey Devils acquired defenseman Brad Lukowich from the Islanders in exchange for a 2006 third-round draft pick on Thursday, March 9, 2006.

    With excess blue liners, the Devils sent Sean Brown to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a 2006 fourth-round draft pick.

    In a deal announced late on the trade deadline, the Devils also acquired Center Jason Wiemer from Calgary in exchange for a fourth-round pick.
