The New Jersey Devils lost 3-2 to the Flyers in Philadelphia
on Tuesday, March 21, 2006.
Simon Gagne beat Martin Brodeur just 1:49 into the first period
to give the Flyers an early 1-0 lead.
The first period ended with the Flyers leading the Devils, 1-0.

Peter Forsberg made it a 2-0 Philadelphia lead with a power-play

The Devils outshot the Flyers 11-8 in the second period but were
unable to put the puck past Antero Niittymaki.

the third period. Gionta's 37th goal of the season was assisted by Paul
Martin.
