October 11, 2007 Game 4: Devils Shutdown By Panthers 0-3
The New Jersey Devils were shutout, 3-1 by the Panthers in
Florida on Thursday, October 11, 2007.
Rostislav Olesz gave Florida a 1-0 lead with a goal that beat
Martin Brodeur at 14:48 of the first period.
The Panthers outshot the Devils 12-10 in the first period and led
1-0.
Olli Jokinen scored a 5 on 3 power-play goal at 13:05 of the
second period to increase the Panthers lead to 2-0. Nathan Horton scored
a power-play goal with 32 seconds remaining in the period to make it a 3-0
lead.
The Panthers outshot the Devils 16-8 in the second period.
Neither team was able to score in the third period. The
Devils outshot the Panthers 11-3 in the third period, but were outshot 31-29
in the game.
