October 18, 2007 Game 7: Flyers Throw Devils a 4-0 Beating
The New Jersey Devils were shutout 4-0 by the Flyers in
Philadelphia on Thursday, October 18, 2007.
The Devils outshot the Flyers 15-2 in the first period, but the
game remained scoreless.
Mike Richards beat Martin Brodeur on a power-play at 3:49 of the
second period to give the Flyers a 1-0 lead. Sami Kapanen made it 2-0
with a goal at 8:15. Ex-Devil Jim Dowd added another Flyer goal at
10:49.
The second period ended with the Flyers leading, 3-0. The
Devils outshot the Flyers 12-11 in the period.
Joffrey Lupul scored at 14:09 of the third period to make it 4-0
Philadelphia.
The Devils outshot the Flyers 11-5 in the third period and 38-18
in the game.
