    The New Jersey Devils lost 0-1 at home to the New York Islanders on Wednesday, November 16, 2007.

    The shots were even, 7-7 at the end of the first period, which ended with the game scoreless.

    Josef Vasicek beat Martin Brodeur with a short-handed goal at 5:25 of the second period after Mike Mottau fell, leaving Vasicek undefended.

    The Islanders outshot the Devils 11-9 in the second period, which ended with the Islanders leading 1-0.

    The Devils outshot the Islanders 10-7 in the third period and 26-25 in the game.
