February 29, 2008 Game 65: Caps Shutout Devs 4-0
The New Jersey Devils were shutout 4-0 at home by the Washington
Capitals on Friday, February 29, 2008.
The Devils outshot the Capitals 6-4 in the first period, which
ended with the game still scoreless.
Mike Green scored a power-play goal that beat Martin Brodeur at
11:27 of the second period to give the Capitals a 1-0 lead.
Washington outshot New Jersey 12-10 in the second period, and
led 1-0 in goals at the end of the period.
Ex-Devils Viktor Kozlov made it a 2-0 Capitals lead with a goal
just 43 seconds into the third period. Alexander Semin increased the
Washington lead to 3 with a power-play goal at 8:59. Donald Brashear
made it 4-0 with a goal at 17:05
