March 25, 2008 Game 76: Pens Drop Devs 2-0
The New Jersey Devils lost their second straight game to the
Pittsburgh Penguins, this time 0-2 at the Prudential Center on Tuesday, March
25, 2008.
Ryan Malone beat Martin Brodeur at 5:18 of the first period on a
power-play to give the Penguins a 1-0 lead.
The Devils outshot the Penguins 9-7 in the first period, which
ended with the Penguins leading 1-0.
Neither team scored in the second period, in which the Devils
outshot the Penguins 8-7.
Marian Hossa added an empty net goal at 19:18 to seal the
Penguins victory.
The Devils outshot the Penguins 16-6 in the third period and
31-20 in the game, but lost 2-0.
