September 29, 2008 Pre Season Game 4: Devils Fall to Capitals 2-3
The New Jersey Devils were defeated 2-3 at home by the Washington
Capitals on Monday, September 29, 2008.
The first period ended with the game still scoreless. The
Devils outshot the Caps 13-8 in the period.
The Capitals outshot the Devils 11-5 in the second period, which
ended with Washington leading, 2-0.
Zach Parise got the Devils on the board with a goal that beat
Jose Theodore at 9:46 of the third period. David Clarkson and Rod Pelley
assisted on the goal.
With the Devils net empty, the Devils cut the Caps lead to one
goal when Petr Vrana beat Theodore. Sheldon Brookbank and Fedor Fedorov
assisted on the goal.
