March 10, 2009 Game 66: Devils Beat Flames 3-2
The New Jersey Devils skated to a 3-2 victory over the Calgary
Flames at the Prudential Center on Tuesday, March 10, 2009.
Olli Jokinen beat Martin Brodeur at 10:22 of the first period, to
give the Flames a 1-0 lead. The first period ended without additional
scoring. The shots were even, 10-0 in the first 20 minutes of
play.
Jamie Langenbrunner got the Devils on the board with a
short-handed goal at 5:10 of the second period. Colin White and Paul
Martin assisted on Langenbrunner's 22nd goal of the season.
Brian Rolston beat Miikka Kiprusoff at 18:01 to give New Jersey
their first lead of the game. Dainius Zubrus and Brendan Shanahan
assisted on Rolston's 13th goal of the season.
The Flames outshot the Devils 16-15 in the second period, which
ended with the Devils leading, 2-1.
Zach Parise scored his 39th goal of the season at 1:15 of the
third period, to give the Devils a 3-1 lead. Jamie Langenbrunner and
Travis Zajac assisted on the goal.
Curtis Glencross scored a 6 on 4 power-play goal with less than a
second remaining.
