Game 77: Devils Drop 6th Straight, Penguins Win 6-1

    The New Jersey Devils lost their sixth straight game in a row - a 1-6 loss to the Penguins in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, April 1, 2009.

    Matt Cooke beat Martin Brodeur at 5:55 of the first period to give Pittsburgh a 1-0 lead.   Ex-Devil Bill Guerin made it 2-0 with a goal just 36 seconds later.

    Brian Gionta got the Devils on the board with a goal that beat Marc-Andre Fleury at 11:22.   Gionta's 19th goal of the season was assisted by Dainius Zubrus and Colin White.
