January 18, 2010 Game 47: Islanders Shutout Devils 4-0
The New Jersey Devils were shutout 4-0 by the Islanders on Long
Island on Monday, January 18, 2010.
Matt Moulson beat Martin Brodeut just 1:07 into the first
period. Mark Streit scored a power-play goal at 3:44 to make it 2-0
New York.
The Islanders outshot the Devils 18-7 in the first period, which
ended with the Islanders leading 2-0.
Josh Bailey tipped the puck into the Devils net at 15:42 of the
second period. Matt Moulson scored his second goal of the game at 18:05
to make it a four goal Islander lead.
The second period ended with New York leading 4-0. The
Islanders outshot the Devils 14-4 in the period.
Yann Danis started the third period in goal for the
Devils.
The Islanders outshot the Devils 14-9 in the third period, though
neither team scored in the final 20 minutes of play.
