Game 70: Devils Fall to Maple Leafs 1-2 Shootout

    The New Jersey Devils lost 1-2 to the Maple Leafs in Toronto in a shootout on Thursday, March 18, 2010.

    Phil Kessel beat Yann Danis at 18:54 of the first period to give Toronto a 1-0 lead.

    The Maple Leafs outshot the Devils 9-5 in the first period, which ended with Toronto leading 1-0.

    David Clarkson tied the game with a goal that beat Jean-Sebastien Giguere at 15:46 of the second period.   Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond made a great pass to setup the goal.   Andy Greene also assisted on Clarkson's ninth goal of the season.
