Martin Brodeur and the New Jersey Devils shutout the Canadiens
3-0 in Montreal on Thursday, October 21, 2010.
Zach Parise's wrist shot beat Carey Price 4:20 into the game to
give the Devils an early lead. Travis Zajac was credited with the only
assist on Parise's second goal of the season.
The Canadiens outshot the Devils 10-3 in the first period, which
ended with New Jersey leading 1-0.
Jason Arnott scored at 14:59 of the second period to increase the
Devils lead. Dainius Zubrus and Jamie Langenbrunner assisted on Arnott's
third goal of the season.
The Devils led 2-0 at the end of the second period, in which the
Devils outshot the Canadiens 8-5.
3:38 into the third period, Matt Taormina scored to make it a 3-0
Devils lead. Jason Arnott assisted on Taormina's second goal of the
season.
The Canadiens outshot the Devils 14-9 in the third period, and
29-20 in the game.
