October 27, 2010 Game 10: Sharks Beat Devils 5-2
The New Jersey Devils lost 2-5 to the Sharks in San Jose on
Wednesday, October 27, 2010.
Joe Thornton beat Martin Brodeur at 9:57 of the first period to
give the Sharks a 1-0 lead. Patrick Marleau made it 2-0 with a goal at
11:16. Thornton scored again at 18:59 to make it a 3-0 Sharks
lead.
The first period ended with San Jose leading 3-0. The
Sharks outshot the Devils 17-11 in the period.
David Clarkson got New Jersey on the board with a goal that beat
Antero Niittymaki 3:06 into the second period. Matt Corrente and Henrik
Tallinder assisted on Clarkson's first goal of the season.
Joe Thornton completed a hat trick with a power-play goal at
16:55.
The second period ended with San Jose leading 4-1. The
Sharks outshot the Devils 13-10 in the period.
Dany Heatley scored at 6:47 of the third period to make it
5-1.
Andy Greene scored his first goal of the season on a power-play
at 14:22. Dainius Zubrus and Zach Parise assisted on the goal.
