November 24, 2010 Game 22: Devils on WINNING STREAK!
The New Jersey Devils skated to a 2-1 shootout victory at home
over the Calgary Flames on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. The win gives
them their first winning streak of the season.
David Clarkson tipped the puck past Henrik Karlsson at 13:06 of
the first period to give New Jersey a 1-0 lead. Mattias Tedenby and Matt
Corrente assisted on Clarkson's fourth goal of the season.
The Flames outshot the Devils 7-6 in the first period.
Neither team scored in the second period, in which Calgary outshot New Jersey
11-6.
Rene Bourque tipped the puck past Johan Hedberg just 1:18 into the third
period to tie the game.
Regulation time ended with the game tied, 1-1. The Flames
outshot the Devils 5-3 in the third period. Neither team scored in the
five minute overtime period, sending the game to a shootout.
Johan Hedberg stopped all three of the Flames shooters, and Ilya
Kovalchuk scored for New Jersey to win the game.
