Game 23: Avalanche Beat Devils 6-1

    The New Jersey Devils lost 1-6 to the Avalanche in Colorado on Wednesday, November 30, 2011.

    Milan Hejduk beat Martin Brodeur at 7:37 of the first period to give Colorado a 1-0 lead.   TJ Galiardi scored at 14:14 and Jan Hejda made it 3-0 Avalanche at 16:02.

    Ilya Kovalchuk got the Devils on the board with a goal that beat Semyon Varlamov at 11:03 of the second period.   Adam Henrique and Zach Parise assisted on Kovalchuk's fifth goal of the season.

    Ryan O'Reilly beat Brodeur at 2:47 of the third period.   Jay McClement scored short-handed at 10:32 to make it 5-1 Colorado.   Stefan Elliott made it 6-1 with a goal at 17:17.
