May 21, 2012 R3 Game 4: Now Best of 3: Devils Beat Rangers 4-1
The New Jersey Devils evened the series with a 4-1 victory over
the New York Rangers at the Prudential Center on Monday, May 21, 2012.
With their Eastern Conference Finals matchup now tied, 2-2, the series is now
best two out of three.
Bryce Salvador got the Devils on the board first when he beat
Queenie Lundqvist at 8:10 of the first period. Alexei Ponikarovsky and
David Clarkon assisted on Salvador's third goal of the playoffs.
Travis Zajac scored at 11:59 to make it 2-0 New Jersey.
Zajac's sixth of the post-season was assisted by Zach Parise and Dainius
Zooooooooooooooooooooooooooobrus.
A power-play goal from Zach Parise at 2:41 of the third period
make it 3-0 Devils. Ilya Kovalchuk and Adam Henrique assisted on
Parise's fifth of the playoffs.
Ruslan Fedotenko ruined Brodeur's shutout bid, but Marty managed
to set another record, by scoring his fourth point of the playoffs with an
assist on Zach Parise's empty net goal at 18:31. Bryce Salvador also
assisted on the goal.
