The New Jersey Devils blew a 3-0 third period lead in Edmonton
and lost to the Oilers in a shootout on Monday, October 7, 2013.
Jaromir Jagr scored his first goal as a New Jersey Devil at 2:59
of the first period. Marek Zidlicky was credited with the only assist on
the goal which gave the Devils an early 1-0 lead.
Damien Brunner made it 2-0 with a power-play goal at
8:01. Travis Zajac and Adam Henrique assisted on Brunner's third goal
of the season.
The Devils took a three goal lead at 4:34 of the second period
when Michael Ryder beat Jason LaBarbera.
