Niedermayer Named Alternate Captain of Team Canada

    Scott Niedermayer was named as an Alternate Captain for Team Canada on Friday, August 20, 2004.   With the Canadian World Cup training camp opening, Mario Lemieux was named Captain, with alternates Scott Niedermayer, Jarome Iginla, Joe Sakic, and Adam Foote.
