December 28, 2004 New Jersey Devils Coat Drive: Tuesday, January 18
The New Jersey Devils will hold their annual coat drive on
Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Gate A of the Continental Airlines Arena, from
6:00PM to 8:00PM. The Devils 9th annual coat drive will again benefit
"Jersey Cares".
From The Devils Web Site, "All
fans are requested to bring new or gently-worn coats to the arena.
Following the collection, the coats will be distributed to 200 or more
non-profit agencies in New Jersey including shelters, orphanages, faith-based
programs, and senior citizen centers."
"Former Devils' players Bob Carpenter, Ken Daneyko, Bruce Driver,
John MacLean, and Randy Velischek will be on hand on the arena concourse to
assist volunteers from Jersey Cares in the collection. Every fan who
makes a donation will receive an autographed card from a Devils'
alumnus."
