Game 46: Brodeur & Devils Shutdown Rangers 1-0

    The New Jersey Devils shutout the New York Rangers 1-0 at home on Tuesday, January 16, 2007.   The shutout was the 88th of Martin Brodeur's career and the eighth of the season.

    Brad Lukowich beat Henrik Lundqvist at 9:42 of the first period to give the Devils a 1-0 lead.   Lukowich's second goal of the season was scored unassisted.

    The Devils outshot the Rangers 13-9 in the first period, which ended with the Devils leading 1-0.

    There were no goals scored in the second period, in which the Devils outshot the Rangers 12-8.

    The Rangers outshot the Devils 9-7 in the third period, but were outshot 32-26 in the game.
