December 13, 2007 Game 31: Devils Defeat Bruins 3-1
The New Jersey Devils beat the Bruins 3-1 in Boston on Thursday,
December 13, 2007.
The Bruins outshot the Devils 8-7 in the first period, but the
game remained scoreless after the first twenty minutes.
Brian Gionta beat Alexander Auld at 10:57 of the second period to
give New Jersey a 1-0 lead. Johnny Oduya assisted on Gionta's 10th goal
of the season.
Jamie Langenbrunner scored his third goal of the season on a 5 on
4 power-play at 14:34. Zach Parise and Mike Mottau assisted on the goal
that gave the Devils a 2-0 lead.
The Devils outshot the Bruins 10-7 in the second period, which
ended with the Devils leading 2-0.
Marc Savard got the Bruins on the board with a power-play goal at
1:31 of the third period.
Jamie Langenbrunner added an empty net goal at 19:45 to seal the
win for New Jersey. Langenbrunner's second goal of the game was scored
unassisted.
