October 13, 2008 Game 3: Devils Fall To Rangers 1-4 at MSG
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-4 at Madison Square Garden to the
Rangers on Monday, October 13, 2008.
Brandon Dubinksy beat Martin Brodeur at 13:30 of the first period
to give the Rangers a 1-0 lead.
The Rangers outshot the Devils 11-5 in the first period, which
ended with the Rangers leading 1-0.
Aaron Voros increased the Rangers lead to two goals with a
power-play goal at 6:37 of the second period.
John Madden finally got the Devils on the board with a goal that
beat Henrik Lundqvist with 1:48 remaining in the second period. Madden's
first goal of the season was assisted by Jay Pandolfo and Zach Parise.
The second period ended with the Rangers leading 2-1. The
Devils outshot the Rangers 12-4 in the period.
Aaron Voros scored his second goal of the game, adding a
power-play goal for New York just 1:39 into the third period.
Ryan Callahan added an empty net goal at 19:02 to seal the win
for New York.
