The New Jersey Devils lost 2-3 to the Flyers in Philadelphia
on Monday, November 16, 2009.
Darroll Powe beat Martin Brodeur at 7:11 of the first period to
give the Flyers a 1-0 lead.
The Flyers outshot the Devils 15-14 in the first period, which
ended with Philadelphia leading, 1-0.
Scott Hartnell scored a power-play goal just 44 seconds into the
second period to give the Flyers a 2-0 lead.
David Clarkson got the Devils on the board with a power-play goal
that beat Ray Emery at 15:42. Zach Parise and Patrik Elias assisted on
Clarkson's 7th goal of the season.
The second period ended with the Flyers leading, 2-1. The
Flyers outshot the Devils 13-12 in the period.
James van Riemsdyk beat Brodeur at 10:38 of the third period to
give the Flyers a 3-1 lead.
Zach Parise cut the deficit to a single goal with just 0.6
seconds remaining. Parise's 11th goal of the season was assisted by
Jamie Langenbrunner and Patrik Elias.
