Game 21: Devils Fall 3-5 to Stars

    The New Jersey Devils lost 3-5 to the Stars in Dallas on Saturday, November 21, 2009.

    Brian Rolston started the game off right for New Jersey with a goal that beat Marty Turco just 55 seconds into the first period.   Patrik Elias and Jamie Langenbrunner assisted on Rolston's fifth goal of the season.

    Warren Peters put the put past Yann Danis at 2:22 to tie the game, 1-1.   Power-play goals from Mike Ribeiro at 7:59 and Stephane Robidas at 14:46 gace Dallas a 3-1 lead.

    The first period ended with Dallas leading, 3-1.   The Devils outshot the Stars 11-9 in the period.

    Martin Brodeur began the second period in net for New Jersey.

    A power-play goal from Brian Rolston at 9:49 of the second period cut the Stars lead to a single goal.   Patrik Elias and Tyler Eckford assisted on Rolston's second goal of the game.

    The Devils outshot the Stars 15-9 in the second period, which ended with the Stars leading, 3-2.

    Travis Zajac tied the game with a power-play goal at 6:31 of the third period.   Jamie Langenbrunner and Zach Parise assisted on Zajac's seventh goal of the season.

    Tom Wandell beat Martin Brodeur at 9:07 to give Dallas a 4-3 lead.   Stephane Robidas gave the Stars a 5-3 lead with a goal at 14:09.
