January 16, 2010 Game 46: Devils Fall to Avalanche 1-3
The New Jersey Devils lost 1-3 to the Avalanche in Colorado on
Saturday, January 16, 2010.
Chris Stewart put the puck behind Martin Brodeur at 3:17 of the
first period to give Colorado an early 1-0 lead. T.J. Galiardi made it
2-0 with a goal at 18:32.
A heavy hit from Ryan Wilson knocked Patrik Elias out of the game
early into the second period.
Rob Niedermayer got the Devils on the scoreboard with a goal that
beat Craig Anderson at 1:55 of the third period. Niedermayer's sixth
goal of the season was assisted by Jay Pandolfo and Colin White.
Wojtek Wolski added an empty net goal at 19:47 to seal the win
for Colorado.
