Arbitrator Rules In Favor of NHL: Contract Void

    Arbitrator Richard Bloch ruled in favor of the NHL with regard to the New Jersey Devils 17 year contract with Ilya Kovalchuk.   The ruling was announced on Monday, August 9, 2010 and makes the contract void.   The Devils are currently working with the Kovalchuk camp, in hopes of working out a new contract that satisfies all parties involved.
