February 09, 2013 Game 11: Devils Beat Penguins: 3-1
The New Jersey Devils defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 3-1 at the
Prudential Center on Saturday, February 9, 2013.
Brandon Sutter deflected the puck past Martin Brodeur on a
power-play just 1:23 into the first period to give the Penguins an early
lead.
Stefan Matteau scored his first career NHL goal with a nice wrist
shot over Marc-Andrew Fluery at 16:31 of the second period. Matteau's
goal was assisted by Andy Greene and Adam Larsson.
Adam Henrique scored a power-play goal at 10:56 of the third
period to give the Devils a 2-1 lead. Bobby Butler and Ilya Kovalchuk
assisted on Henrique's fourth goal of the season.
Bobby Butler got himself on the score sheet again with a goal on
a power-play at 13:08 to make it 3-1. Butler's first goal of the season
was assisted by Andy Greene and Ilya Kovalchuk.
